Through the process of beading, I emphasize the seemingly cliché themes such as Tropical Jackpot, Asian Riches, Bali Bingo, and Chips & Salsa to extrapolate subliminal marketing and the sad reality of a losing scratch ticket. In "Scratch Ticket Medallions" I shift the function of loosing scratch tickets collected from Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, and Minnesota into medallions -objects associated with power, strength, and good luck.
