The Great Basin Murders
On March 1, 1981 a motorist who had stopped along Jacks Valley Road outside of Genoa, Nevada to photograph the landscape discovered the body of Cora Carrillo down a 17 foot steep embankment. She was wearing blue jeans, a brown sweater, cowboy boots and a gold chain necklace. She had been strangled with an article of clothing. She was a cocktail waitress in Carson City, Nevada at the time. Her case remains unsolved.
